1546 posts · Joined 2017. #3 · Jun 14, 2021. In my experience, the rubber seal was just "seized" into place and took a bit of effort and wiggling to pull. I wiped it down and gave it a thin film of silicone lube when I put it back in. Frost White RS is best RS.

First off, the shifter base could be loose. Move the shifter horizontally, and watch the lever on the side of the shifter base. If the shifter base itself seems loose, tighten it. Remember all cars prior to the 80's after the introduction of the pcm used a map sensor. The maf is a much more advanced system of measurement taking into account altitude, water content, temperature, and amount of air in one sensor whereas the map sensor only measures atmosphere of pressure and only does so one atmosphere at a time.

The MAF sensor is located near the air cleaner assembly. Most MAF sensors have an integrated Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
